## How it works

Lead vocals are almost always mixed dead-centre in a stereo track. The engine separates the centre (mid) from the sides, removes the vocal range from the centre while keeping the kick, bass and cymbal air that also live there, and rebuilds the song without the voice. The acapella is the isolated, band-limited centre — rough by nature, since centred instruments like snare can bleed in.
