## Bring loudness up last, and check true peak carefully

Target &minus;14 LUFS integrated with a &minus;1 dBTP ceiling for streaming release, doing any EQ correction first so the limiter isn't fighting problems that were there before mastering started.

Watch true peak specifically after any format conversion &mdash; exports with unusual transient content can occasionally clip during encoding even when the master looked clean beforehand, so leaving real headroom matters more than chasing the loudest possible number.

## Final check: does it hold up next to a released track?

Level-match your master against a released song in a similar style and compare them back to back. If yours sounds thinner, narrower, or less defined at the same loudness, go back to the EQ and stereo-width steps above rather than pushing the limiter harder.

A track that holds its own in that comparison is ready, regardless of which platform it came from originally.
